My parents were confirmed as young adults and promptly made their relationship with the church and Jesus a secondary priority. However, my sister and I had the privilege of attending a break out time
for kids at the same time as the morning worship service. We heard a lady speak for many weeks about Amy Carmichael, the missionary to India. She inspired us with how Amy served God with her "whole
life." As I sat, entranced by the story, I realized, that was what I wanted to do! I wanted to serve God with my own life! We had opportunity to respond to a talk in August of 1976 where I knelt at a little
altar, gave my life to God and began to discover what that really meant! I see now that to live in Christ
is to believe in His finished work on the cross to pay for sins I could not repay to a Holy God. But I
have learned over the years as well that to be a Jesus follower means repenting of sin, turning from my
ways to God's ways and seeking to live a Gospel that is not just creed, but DEED. God wants my whole
life to serve and love Him, but He's also calling YOU to the same. Want to talk about it? Write me on
our website and I'd love to introduce you to the best relationship you've ever experienced!
